Recently, I have been receiving weird text messages about some dangerous radioactive waves from Japan. And just now, one of my friends sent me a text message for some charity work. C’mon, how does sending a million text would help one person anyway. Maybe I’m just overreacting, but it gets into my nerve when I received these type of messages. I appreciate the concern guys, but it would also be wise to validate that information first, before you share it to others. You’re just spreading false information and panic to people.
If you happen to receive those GM text messages, you might consider these following steps before pressing that send button:
- DON'T PANIC. God has given us the mind to think—use that! Just relax and take a deep breath. Panic won’t help. So, when you receive a text message—like there’s a bomb in here—just take a breath and gather your thoughts. Having a clear mind would help you think clearly and act appropriately in certain situations.
- VERIFY. Use the internet or other sources to verify that information. I want to share you this article made by my friend. It was during the time when false messages was spreading through cellphones, about radioactive waves from Japan. He decided to create this post to educate the people of their false belief. Anyway, here’s the link: http://saksaksinagol.com/viral-miseducation/
- SEND IT. If you’re 100% sure of the information you’re getting, then spread the news.
To continue, I want to share you this video that talks about new science discoveries. This video teaches you about facts in science and how to think critically. It’s quite long but you will never regret that you wasted your time on this. Thanks to Tobie for sharing this video. Enjoy guys.
Glad you enjoyed the vid. And found it very informative. :-)
