Day Off for the Razor

One of my male friends once asked me how I achieved a particular masculine look. I think he was talking about the unshaven beard I had that day because I had forgotten to shave. For most men, masculinity is measured by having big muscles, strong bodies and a good looking beard. Also, some women find men with a beard more attractive.
But I prefer shaving my hair, since I graduated in a medical field. I also feel it brings youth to my face. Yes, having a clean shaven face gives a more fresher and younger face. But questions still linger in the heads of most men and I am here to put those questions to rest. So, prepare your cups as the Thinking Cup pours the facts of growing beard.

Know your body.

Before planning the goal of growing those whiskers, ask yourself if it is really for you. One unmodifiable factor— that most men find hard to accept —is their biological blue prints. Your genes made you the way you are right now: How tall you are, the skin color, the nose, eyes, hair and even the diseases you will inherit when you get old. If you notice your dad , uncles and grandfathers are free of manly whiskers, then you are fated for a clean whisker-less face.

To provide an illustration of my growing face fungus, I skipped shaving for three days. My whiskers grew fast and became visible in just about 2 days. Some men grow theirs in a slower rate like about a week and so, and a longer beard in about 4 weeks. In addition, not all men grow beards all over their face. Some only covers specific areas and leave spots on the face. Use this knowledge to style and trim your beard for a much more attractive look. Just be patient and you will have the beard that you desire.

Review your gardening class

We all know how plants grow and what they need to make it grow. Plants simply need good soil, water, loads of carbon dioxide and the bright morning sunshine. We humans also need things in order to grow, but are a little bit complicated compared to the plant’s needs. If you like to grow those face hairs, you should consider your overall health: Eat right, sleep tight and be all right. Make sure you are giving what your body is asking, so it will give what you want in return.

Get the Biotin

Biotin plays an important role in the body such as: it is responsible for most metabolic reactions, converts energy from food, controls sugar levels, helps to avoid brittle hair/nails and can help in hair production. Rich sources of biotin are mostly found on peanuts. A half cup of peanuts is twice the required daily requirements for adults. Other minor sources of biotin are: pork, tuna, salmon, papaya, banana, carrots, avocado, tomato sauce, non-fat milk, sweet potato, low-fat yogurt, cashew and cooked egg. Biotin deficiency can occur by regularly eating raw egg whites. Go for the cooked sunny side up instead.

Growing the facial fungus is not a hard task, as long as you have the perseverance and patience to accomplish your goals. Take note of what the Thinking cup has brewed for you and you will follow the way to success. As for me, I think it's time to bring the razor back to work.

  2. Tobie sent me over to your blog. Hi! Welcome to the blogosphere! :)

Mmm, from a girl's perspective, let me offer you two ways of seeing it. My mom prefers clean-shaven men, and shares in your sentiment: they look more kempt, younger, and perhaps more serious about themselves in the career arena. and I do understand the idea that some girls prefer not to be scratched or tickled by manly hair while kissing.

On the other hand, this girl loves -- loves -- sexy facial hair, specially if it's styled right, properly tended to, and *ehem* grows in the right places. I don't know -- I guess there's something to be said about a man who embraces that bit of his manliness and can look damn well good in it. ^_^"

ehe. sorry, I think I said too much. More power to your blog! .^_^."
